宝利通公司在2007年第四季度委托WR研究公司评估其最新推出的LPR（丢包恢复）功能的性能。LPR算法能够降低网络丢包对IP视频呼叫的影响，该算法适用于宝利通公司HDX视频系统。
WR公司在分析和研究了现有针对网络丢包恢复的各类技术的同时， 在WR研究公司亚特兰大测试实验室搭建了由多台视频系统组成的测试环境；并在多种网络丢包环境下进行了一系列的视频呼叫测试，对其结果进行了评估。这一系统性测试使得WR研究公司能对每个系统在不同网络环境下的性能做出评估。
在经过几百次测试之后，WR研究公司认为LPR技术在网络丢包情况下，特别是随机的，突发的网络丢包情况下，能保持视频通讯的流畅，其性能是非同寻常的。
