Summary
The performance and reliability of traditional videoconferencing systems has improved significantly over the last several years, making the ability to connect and interact easier than ever before. But these solutions are often criticized for failing to provide a natural and comfortable interactive meeting experience. Many vendors have recognized this deficiency, and have developed new applications designed to improve the conferencing experience. This paper describes the latest developments in the technologies that attempt to create a more enhanced feeling of “connectedness” for videoconferencing and collaboration applications.
